Warranty Information
DUNABLE GUITARS
DE Series — Limited Warranty Policy
Effective Date: October 2, 2026
1. Scope
This Limited Warranty applies to Dunable DE Series guitars and basses, manufactured for Dunable Guitars in South Korea, when purchased new directly from Dunable Guitars (including dunable-de.com) or from an Authorized DE Series Dealer. It does not apply to Dunable USA Custom Shop instruments, which are covered under a separate warranty policy, and it does not apply to any instrument purchased used, secondhand, or from an unauthorized seller.
This warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser only and is not transferable to any subsequent owner. No registration is required to activate this warranty — your dated sales receipt or order confirmation from Dunable Guitars or an Authorized DE Series Dealer is your proof of purchase and is required for any warranty claim, so please keep it in a safe place.
2. Limited Structural Warranty — 3 Years
Dunable Guitars warrants each DE Series instrument to be free of structural defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years from the original purchase date, when purchased new directly from Dunable Guitars or from an Authorized DE Series Dealer.
Structural defects covered by this warranty include:
• Warping or bowing of the neck not attributable to string tension, truss rod adjustment, or environmental neglect
• Cracking, splitting, or separation of body or neck joints under normal use and care
• Defects in materials or workmanship present at the time of manufacture
This warranty does not cover damage caused by negligent handling, including but not limited to exposure to extreme heat, cold, or humidity; impact, drops, or accidents; improper storage or transport; or failure to keep the instrument in a reasonably stable environment. Damage resulting from negligent handling is excluded from coverage at any point during the warranty period.
3. Electronics & Hardware Warranty — 1 Year
Pickups and other electronic components (including potentiometers, switches, and output jacks), along with hardware such as tuning machines, bridges, and saddles, are covered against defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from the original purchase date.
4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
• Any instrument whose serial number is missing, removed, or altered
• Any instrument that has been modified from its original factory configuration
• Any instrument not purchased new directly from Dunable Guitars or an Authorized DE Series Dealer, or on which unauthorized repair or service has been performed
• The cost of initial setup, routine maintenance, or adjustment, including truss rod adjustment, string changes, action and intonation setting, or tightening loose hardware
• Normal wear and tear on serviceable parts, including frets, plated surfaces, tuning machines, strings, switches, jacks, pickguards, nuts, and saddles
• Finish wear, cracking, sinking, discoloration, or shrinkage occurring over time under normal use
• Subjective characteristics such as tonal qualities, or natural variation in wood grain and color
• Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the structural integrity or playability of the instrument
• Damage caused by exposure to extreme temperature or humidity, direct sunlight, moisture, body chemicals, or non-approved cleaning products
• Strap button pull-out caused by excessive strain; players using a strap should check buttons periodically and Dunable is not responsible for resulting damage
• Case or gig bag wear and tear of any kind
• Damage occurring in shipping
• Freight charges to Dunable or an Authorized DE Series Dealer for customer-owned instruments
• Charges for inspection or repair when no covered defect is found
• Costs associated with expedited (rush) service or expedited return shipping
• General damage, deterioration, or malfunction resulting from normal use, aging, misuse, neglect, improper operation, abuse, accident, theft, or an act of nature
5. Repairs Outside the Warranty Period
Once the 3-year structural warranty or 1-year electronics & hardware warranty has expired, any repair is at the customer's expense. This includes the cost of parts, labor, and all shipping — both to Dunable Guitars (or an Authorized DE Series Dealer) and back to the customer — if the instrument needs to be shipped for repair.
Customers may request a repair estimate before shipping an instrument. Dunable Guitars is not responsible for loss or damage in transit; we recommend fully insuring any shipment.
6. How to Obtain Warranty Service
If you purchased your DE Series instrument directly from Dunable Guitars (including through dunable-de.com), contact Dunable Guitars directly to start a warranty claim. If you purchased through an Authorized DE Series Dealer, start by contacting that dealer; if the dealer is unavailable, reach out to Dunable Guitars directly.
The customer (or dealer, where applicable) is responsible for shipping the instrument to us freight and insurance prepaid. Please obtain a Return Authorization before shipping anything to us — packages arriving without one may be refused. Once your instrument is received and inspected, we will let you know the approximate turnaround time. Instruments repaired under warranty are returned freight and insurance prepaid.
7. Unauthorized Repairs
Only Authorized DE Series Dealers and Dunable Guitars' own service staff may perform warranty service, unless we approve otherwise. Any repair, modification, or setup work performed by anyone else voids this warranty in full, and Dunable Guitars is not responsible for any defect or damage resulting from such work.
8. Returns
Dunable Guitars does not accept standard returns on DE Series instruments once a sale is final, whether purchased directly from Dunable Guitars or through an Authorized DE Series Dealer. If an instrument arrives with a manufacturing defect or shipping damage, contact Dunable Guitars or your dealer promptly to arrange a repair or resolution under this policy.
9. Limitation of Liability
This warranty covers repair or replacement of a defective DE Series instrument as described above, and is the only warranty Dunable Guitars makes with respect to these products. Dunable Guitars is not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages of any kind arising from a defect or from the instrument being unavailable during repair, including lost income or loss of use. Where applicable state law does not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, any implied warranty (including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) is limited to the duration of this written warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. No dealer, distributor, or other person is authorized to expand or modify this warranty on Dunable Guitars' behalf.
10. Contact
For warranty claims or questions about this policy, contact Dunable Guitars via www.dunableguitars.com, or your Authorized DE Series Dealer.
Dunable Guitars reserves the right to update this warranty policy at any time. This policy applies to instruments purchased after the effective date above.
